Cohen's new trick

Cohen just got over a really bad flu. It was nasty. But When he got better, he learned a new trick, I have been trying to get it on Camera for a few days and finally did. He can pull himself up to things and stand there. He Can take a few steps holding on to things, like the edge of the couch. It is so fun to see him doing fun new things. He still doesn't actually crawl. just army crawl. I am wondering if he might skip that all together and just go straight to walking. He's almost 11 months old so it's about time. He's just into everything.

Rose Reunion

On Saturday we went down to the Rose Reunion down at Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon. It was fun to see family and get together for some good times. Caeli had a lot of fun and as we were leaving she started crying and said that she loves family reunions and wants to do that again. She really loved to play on the slip and slide and run with all of the kids.

Caeli asked, "Is she my Grandma too" Caeli is lucky to have a lot of grandparents still around. We had a fun day. It only took us a little over an hour to get to Ruby's. We never get down there because we think it is so far. But it really isn't, and it was a really nice and beautiful drive.

I was wrong

Cohen has TWO teeth.

And we have a tooth!

Of course you can't see it in this picture, but after much pain and suffering... the tooth is in. He followed after his big sister in waiting a while, he is just now 10 months old and getting his first tooth. Caeli was 11 months. I like late teethers, now they just all come in at once. The happiest day is when all teeth are in!! The funny thing is everytime he would be really grumpy for the last few months I would blame it on that he was teething, and now when he really was teething, for the most part just fine and happy.

Haircut..

When I got home from getting my haircut caeli said, "ooh mother, I need to take a picture." so she did. So I decided that I would post the picture Caeli took of the shortest my hair has ever been. (since about 3 months old) The reason I am now sporting this super short cut is that thanks to bleach, well, over processing bleach, my hair was damaged beyond repair. Bad deal. Cam was gone to scout camp and came home to me with shorter hair, he didn't say much, actually the only thing that he said was, "I like long hair" well, me too but long hair isn't pretty unless it is healthy.

And we are....

going to be BYU Cougars. I thought that we ought to update you all now that we have finally made a decision. We are moving north and Cam will be attending BYU starting in January. So we won't be moving for a few months, which will be good and give us some time to get things ready and get settled up there. (and to find somewhere to live) We are really excited! We love Provo. We didn't think that it was an option, but it turns out that it is, and so it will be another fun adventure. BYU here we come!

4th of July fun

We really love the 4th of July at our house! Koosharem has a great hometown party. This year was a little stressful for Cam and I. The fire department was in charge of both the town lunch and dinner, so we spent the day running around not really able to sit and enjoy the festivities. We kicked of the morning with the town breakfast, then I had to run Cameron and Caeli to their respective parade stations. Cam was having a blast on the fire truck. They had big water guns on there which got them into a little trouble with the bystanders, and Cameron had a few firecrackers that he kept throwing off of the back of the truck. He's lighting another round right here. Caeli was on the back of the float that her dance group did. she had so much fun throwing candy at us.
After the parade everyone heads over to the town square for games and water fights. Caeli discovered water balloons. She would fight for the pink ones. They had bouncy slides and pools for the kids and lots of fun games including a chicken chase. Thank goodness Caeli isn't fast enough to score a chicken. But she did have fun chasing it with all of the kids. It was a big high school reunion for me. I got to see lots of old friends I had a lot of fun talking to everyone, we had a good time. Then the work began so my picture taking came to a halt.
All of my siblings were able to come home for the weekend, it's fun to have them all home. The kids just get really spoiled. (like they aren't anyway) Teri and Tyson made it home, so did Steven and Jazmin and Tim. Actually, every one of my cousins were home this weekend too. This is the Hatch crew sitting on Grandma's steps waiting for the parade. There were actually a few really cute floats this year. However, the parade still isn't long enough, so they turn around and come back by again... good times.
I can't let the 4th go by without giving a little shout out to all of our military friends, current members and veterans, we have such a HUGE appreciation for this great country that we live in and recognize and truely appreciate those who help preserve those freedoms. Thanks all.
