Oh kids...

Note that I am writing these things on here largely because this is, for the most part, my journal. I don't want to forget them.

The other night after I had already put Cohen to bed, Caeli and I were having a little fun time. We were doing puzzles, coloring and playing some good ol' go fish. After a few minutes of coloring Caeli sighed and asked. "Mom, can we do something fun?" I told her she could choose and we could do anything she wanted. She put her finger to her lips and one hand on her hip and said "hmmm... well, how about the cooking channel, maybe we could find something tasty to make Dad for dinner." Caeli has also recently taken to making up recipes. She'll draw pictures and tell me what they say. One of the latest was- 2 cups milk, 2 cups eggs, 2 cups sugar and 2 cups chocolate.

Caeli won't let Cohen touch any of her dress up items, jewelry or make up and several other things. (some of them Cohen's toys) So when Cam had Caeli out running errands with him the other day I found Cohen hiding in Caeli's room with her princess crown and necklaces playing her leap pad (that he is also forbidden to touch) I walked in and looked at him and he started laughing and ran away before I could grab the camera. That picture would have been great blackmail for when he was older.

Oh, one more funny story, Caeli keeps asking what we will name our baby. I was rattling off a list of a few names and when I started naming boys names and included Conor she said oooh yeah, or what about blitzen or comet. So maybe we will name our baby after the reindeer Conor, or Blitzen or Comet.

My little Pink

I am in big trouble.

The other day while we were waiting to pick Cam up from class this song came on..... Pink's "So What". Well. Today I was in the other room and I could hear Caeli singing to Cohen..."We're all gonna get in a fight! So what, I am a rock star, I got my rock moves." Over and over. I kept listening, only to hear her repeat more and more of the lyrics. There are probably worse songs, but there are lots that are WAY bettter for a 4 year old to know. Then later this afternoon she was dancing aroung and singing it again and I got a few pictures
I think Cam taught her to do some kind of rock star move.... she does that and then sticks out her tongue. She put on her pink clothes and put in her pink bow and said to call her pink. This all came from my mistake in telling her when we heard the song that the person singing was called pink and sometimes she has pink hair. She asked me if she could get pink hair. I told her that if she ever came home with pink hair I would shave it all off like a boy. That horrified her, I am pretty sure she won't be coming home with pink hair. Needless to say I think we will be listening to more children's songbook songs in our car.

Sick little guy!

Cohen the poor little man is sick again! He has had this same little cold that we have all had for a while now. But his wouldn't seem to get any better. He was really wheezy and just not quite himself. I thought it would just kinda go away on its own but I decided to risk being called the over-reacting, hypocondriac mom and called the doctor. (it seems we are always at the doctor for some reason) We got in there and the doc listened and looked and informed me that he not only has RSV (AGAIN) but he has ear infections. Appearantly his lungs are really inflamed and so we are on all sorts of meds. He made me a little more nervous because he told me if I don't stay on top of his lung issues he could have some permanant scarring and cause all sorts of trouble! As soon as we get this cleared up we are going to treat him for asthma. All day all that he wanted was his dad. I felt bad for a minute.... he should want me right? But it was really cute and I got over it pretty fast.

Pretty much that's all that is going on at our house lately. Cam started school. He has quite the load. I guess we'll see him in a few years :) We had a fun New Years Day party that I never got posted. We had a fondue party with Katie and Mike and Mike's siblings up here. It was soooo yummy. We then played rock band and just had fun. I am so glad Katie and Mike are up here. Overall things are going well for us and we are looking foreward to a great new year.
