Bear Lake

Today we took our first excursion over to Bear Lake. It was so fun. It's really beautiful over there. The beach is perfect for playing. The water was nice and it was just a great time. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand. They built an awesome castle with the help of their awesome dad.
Cara just had shots the other day and is still not a happy camper about them. She didn't like being there too much. But she sure looked cute in her little swimming suit.
Cam supervising the castle building.
cute kids actually playing nice together :)

Finished project, killer moat and all. It was such a nice day. When we left the wind was just starting to pick up, but the temperature was perfect. The beach where we were was perfect because it was shallow for a long ways out. The kids could wade out a long ways. Caeli collected shells. Cohen ate dirt and drank a little nasty water.... and we just enjoyed a fun day together. I hope we get back over there before the summer is over!

Good Taste

I never have my camera with me when I want it, but tonight when we walked over to the track there was this cute little silver Porsche convertible sitting out front. When we went by it Caeli said, "oooh, mom look it's just my size. You better get one of those for me. I could drive it all by myself" I told her "you can't have a car silly" She sighed and said, "well, I suppose I could wait for my birthday" Yeah, that's what I want for my birthday too.....

Beautiful Night....

We went for a nice little walk the other night. On our way home the sun was setting and I was just absolutely in awe of what a beautiful place we live in! Cache Valley is wonderful! I didn't think I would ever say that when Cam moved us up here last October, but I am! I am growing really attached to Logan. We have some wonderful friends up here. It's starting to feel like home a little. I still don't want to live here forever ;) but I am finally really happy about being here while we are here.
These have got to be three of the cutest kids ever! :) (yes Cara's face is turning purple) On this walk we hit the Aggie Ice Cream store as well.... it was sooooo yummy. I am a huge fan of the Aggie Blue Mint.:) It was a really fun night for me. The perfect ending for our FHE.

Like Father Like Son....

Need I say more..... haha......
Cohen is going to be a big boy now (whether he wants to or not:)) We have been potty training...... after a few bad days we have had a few successes. First I have to complain..... why can I not find training undies smaller than 2T? (and why do they go up to 5T, come on parents) My poor skinny kid does not even begin to fit into the training unders that I bought, but he loves them. I am so excited to get this done, but in the meantime I have a feeling that I am going to be seeing a lot more like the picture above :) Being the true boy that he is, my biggest successes have been when I put bugs in the potty and tell him to get them. Gotta love boys.

My cute friend up here happens to be a really awesome photographer and she did some pictures of Cara. I don't have them yet but she did post some of the pictures on her photography blog so go check them out! Click HERE to see them. I love them! Cam came home for the end of the session and so those are his hands holding her. WHAT A DOLL!!!

busy week.

Just doing a little catching up... We had a great 4th of July. We were able to go home for an extended weekend and it was great. I get homesick!! It was so fun to be able to see family. We started the weekend up at Fish Lake for Cameron's 10 year class reunion. That was great to see friends we don't see near enough, and do some catching up. However, Fish Lake is always great no matter what you are doing. I always love to be able to see Grandma Mackay. I am learning that I am a very sentimental person. Every minute I get to spend with her feels like a treasure. This is my great grandma. That makes her my kids Great-great Grandma. I feel really blessed to have my kids get to know her. Not a lot of kids can say they know their grandma 5 generations back. Plus she has a great sense of humor and always makes me laugh.
A little out of order but this is on Caeli's first day of swimming lessons. I was so excited to take her. I had the best memories of swimming lessons growing up. It was a big event for us as kids. It's silly I know, but it was cute. She was excited as well. :)
Tonight after Cohen went to bed I came out from the bathroom to find Caeli reading to her sister. I thought it was soooo cute. I snuck up and got the picture and then asked her what she was reading her. She replied that her baby will need to know about princesses.
Caeli rode her little forewheeler in the big ol' Koosharem 4th of July Parade this year. It behaved much better than the pony did last year :) She loved it.
Cameron was more excited than anything to play fireman again. He took Cohen and rode on the firetruck in the parade. Cohen waved really cute and even got to turn on the siren. He didn't really care that much about it and Cam said he just asked for Caeli the whole time. But he looked cute on it!

Cute kids

I just thought I would post a few pictures of the kids. This is when they first got here and saw their little sister. They are both really cute with her. They fight over holding her and feeding her and fight over who gets to throw her diaper away. I am going to enjoy that while it lasts. Cohen just kisses her over and over. I am glad he hasn't seemed jealous or anything like that.
He gets the cutest smile when he hold her.

I have a ton of help feeding her. A little too much sometimes. I am hoping the newness will wear off sometime soon. :)
Grandma Great got Cara this cute swing that I wanted so bad (since I got rid of the one i had) She is still so tiny in it. Yesterday I hear Cohen say, "wee baby" and I looked over and he swung her really high and she tipped forward and hit her head on the bar! I kinda wigged out a little. Cohen took off I think he thought he was dead :) He felt really bad and kept kissing her afterward.
