Just a few more pictures

I thought that I had these pictures on the last post but.... anyway. These are the applesauce cupcakes I stayed up all night making. They actually tasted pretty good. The kids thought they were cool too.

Jam packed weekend

This weekend we had a lot going on. It was a lot of fun. First on Friday Teri and Mom took the day off of work so we spent the day in Richfield at the park and then went bowling. Caeli thought that she was pretty big stuff when they had bowling shoes that fit her. She was so cute. Then in the last 2 frames she noticed that Cohen was on the merry go round and went to join him and totally lost interest in bowling.

Cohen is getting so big I can't stand it!! He had a lot of fun bowling but kept trying to get the balls so we took him over to play on the merry go round. He liked it.

As soon as we were done playing in Richfield I had to hurry home. It was our monthly girls night. We had grilling night and had some of the BEST food. I didn't get very many good pictures, but as usual, we had a great time. There were 9 of us there. I have the best group of friends. I got home pretty late and still had cooking to do for the reunion. So I had a LATE night.

This weekend was the Torgerson reunion at Grandma T's. We had a blast at the reunion. We went to the lake after breakfast Saturday morning. I didn't get any pictures, but the lake was perfect. The wind never came up and the water wasn't too cold. Then we headed back to the house for dinner and games. This is Teri and Jazmin gathering ammo for our marshmello gun war. We did a little capture the flag war game. We got pretty good with the guns and a few of us have some killer bruises. We also had a volleyball tournament and then came to our house for fireworks and guitar hero.
Not a very good picture but this was Cohen's first sawdust dig. He found a sucker and then decided to eat the sawdust. OK -so I just noticed my cousin in the background.... sorry about that. Caeli got lots of candy and I finally convinced her to pick up some chocolate and not just look for candy in pink wrappers.
We finished off the weekend with Trever's mission farewell on Sunday. He did a great job. Afterwards we had a huge dinner over at the hall. He goes into the MTC on Wednesday. He will do great, we will miss him!

I think fall is on our doorsteps here, so this was pretty much our last summer hoorah. In the next few weeks we have Cohen's birthday and Caeli starts preschool. I think the fun days of summer are over. What some good times!

Sick again

Cohen has been sick again this week. He has been running a high fever and just acting really groggy. He hasn't had any sort of conjestion or throwing up or anything. Today he is acting a lot better, his fever is gone. I just noticed that he is breaking out in some sort of rash all over his stomach and chest. About an hour ago Caeli crawled up on my lap and said she was sleepy and she is burning up now too. Anyone have any ideas as to what in the world my kids have? I have just been giving them tylenol and motrin to help with the fevers. I just hate having sick kids. I don't like feeling helpless and not knowing what to do for the poor little dears. It's kinda funny that with as germ freakish as we have been at our house we seem to get everything that goes around. Any ideas?

Cam's the man.

On the occasion of our 6th anniversary of being married and nearly 10 years since we started dating (woah) I want to put it down in writing how great of a guy I have married! The other day as Cameron was about 3 hours late coming home from work (I may have started cussing him just a little) I was reading the Ensign where President Monson reminds us that our husbands need to hear a good word. I was planning on writing a little tribute to Cam on here, and then I was inspired again by Jaimee.... Anyway... I fell asleep on the couch after putting the kids to bed and when Cam finally made it home he came over and scooped me up and carried me into the bedroom. Firstly I was surprised he could carry me. hehe. but it just reminded me of some cute romantic movie and I just loved it. He is the best husband. Somehow Millie raised some really great boys, and sorry girls I got the best one! Cameron is the number one best dad that I have ever known. The second he gets home both of the kids just want him. He takes them with him whenever he can. Caeli thinks her dad can do anything. He just about can. Anytime anything breaks she tells us that her dad can fix it when he gets home. I am so happy that he can do all of the handy things that he can do. He works so hard. For me to just say I love him doesn't even begin to say it.
I start to think back over the last few years and some of the things we have done in our short married life and it has become a little list of things that shows how amazing Cam is. Caeli was only 6 weeks old when he left for Iraq. While he was gone he sent her some of the cutest letters. It will be cool when she is old enough to read them and understand. That all seems like a thousand years ago. He always had the best attitude about being gone and always kept a gospel perspective on things. I appreciate that so much about Cam. He definately picks up for my shortcomings. He relies on our Heavenly Father for everything and I am so grateful for that.
I also think back to when Cohen was born. He was great to keep things running around here while I was up there with Cohen and then when I was back in there myself. I can't imagine the stress of knowing that he had to go to work and take care of Caeli and stress about if Cohen and I were ok up in Provo. I appreciate that he honors his preisthood and can bless our family when we need it. He is so patient and understanding and always knows and helps me out when I am not feeling so hot.

There are so many little things that he does on a daily basis that I appreciate so much. Thanks Cam for all that you do. I love you so much. I don't know, and don't want to know, where I would be with out you.

6th Anniversary

To celebrate our sixth anniversary we spent a few days up in Park City. It was so relaxing and fun. We planned on going with our friends Todd and Wendi but the night before we left they called and said they couldn't go because of some work things. We were really bummed but we had sooo much fun anyway. We didn't get very many pictures. We stayed in a condo that was at the base of the Olympic park. The room was really nice. The picture above is taken from the parking lot of our condo. Basically we just relaxed up there. We spent lots of time at the pool and watching movies. I talked Cam into going to see Mama Mia with me. He hated every minute of it, but I really liked it.
The kitchen of our condo. It had the prettiest slate floor. I took notes on a few things :) Cam spent most of his time playing with the huge plasma TV in the room and I am sure he was driving the neighbors crazy with the surround sound blaring.


Of course, my favorite part of any vacation is the fun restaurants. We went to a few that are definately at the top of my favorite list. The picture of me above is taken in our #1 favorite mexican place of all time. Loco Lizzard. I could go on and on about the good food up there. I got the best chicken and mushroom enchaladas there, creamy sauce topped with goat cheese and toasted pumpkin seeds. Their cilantro lime dressing is better then cafe rio and for me to say that it must be good. We also went to a really good Itialian place, Ghidotti's. We ate some really good food in there too. I think mine was called Beef Brocolia. It was beef stuffed with prosciutto, pinenuts, cheese and it was just really amazing. We went to some other fun places too. It was just fun to hang out and be tourists. Thanks to Mom and Jazmin for keeping the kids for us. I don't think Mom has recovered yet.

Girls Only Camping Trip

We were so happy to have my cousins from Delta here, we decided that we needed to do something fun. We planned a girls only camping trip up the canyon. We put all 7 of us in our 4 man tent. It was VERY cozy. We had so much fun. Pictured above are: Makayla, Me, Caeli, Leah, Sami, Shaylee and Tara. Makayla, Leah and Tara are my cousins that live here (Ron and Jana's girls) and Sami and Shaylee are from Delta (Larren and Norene's girls) I had so much fun with them. We did let the boys come up for dinner. Cameron, Cohen, Ron and Trevor (and Jana) came up for a dutch oven dinner. Cam did a good job with that. We (I mean they) went and did a little repelling. The only bad thing was we woke up to rain, so it was a little chilly in the morning. We just stayed up all night playing cards and eating snacks. I am so glad that they came to stay for a few days.

Weekend Pictures

We had a pretty boring/typical weekend. Our Sunday activities included some sitting on the front lawn at Grandma Great's. The evenings in Koosharem are perfect right now. It was so nice and relaxing.
Cohen was playing stinkbug as he crawled around on the grass. He didn't like the grass on his legs, it was really cute. At least I thought so.

On Saturday we went to Jorgensens for the fourwheeler drawing that I had drawn out for. It was so exciting.... I suppose. I drew out for a chance to win a key, for a chance to win a fourwheeler. I won a mug and a hat. The kids had fun though. Caeli wouldn't get off of the little 50s that they had. She said she wants to sell the pony and get a "freewheeler" So.... Pony for sale. A fourwheeler would be a lot less maitenance.
