Easter Saturday

We enjoyed some pretty low-key Easter Saturday fun. One of the local grocery stores here in town hosted a fun little "bunny lane" it was really cute. Caeli loved it because they had a map and she followed it around. These pictures are in reverse order here. Bunny lane was after the egg hunt up at old main hill. When we were up there Caeli was scared to death of the easter bunny and hid behind a tree nearly in tears. I was surprised when she ran up to the one in the store and gave him a hug.

This is the bunny up at Old Main Hill. Cohen was mostly interested in the carrot that he had. Cohen didn't get the egg hunt very well. He picked up a few eggs but mostly was just checking out all of the other kids running around.
I had to tell Caeli that it was OK to pick up eggs that weren't pink. She passed up a ton of eggs because they weren't the right color. She got a ton though. Her favorite thing is this little "baby" deck of cards that she found.
At home this morning she got up and found her Easter basket before we heard her and knew she was awake. She woke up at 7:00 and we made her wait with us in our bed until we finally work Cohen up at about 7:30. She just kept saying, "I don't believe this, he is a sneaky Easter Bunny". She also kept saying that she would share her easter basket with her baby sister next year. She also keeps asking me when I eat some candy if the baby is liking the easter treats.
Although I plan on having some good family time tomorrow talking about why we have Easter, I did have a minute with Caeli and we talked about Jesus and Easter. She got really quiet and said, "it says that in my scriptures". It was cute. I can't wait to talk about it a little more tomorrow. Christ's resurrection is easily one of my favorite subjects. What a good thing to remember as spring is here. Easter is a great holiday!

Oh my gosh, you are too nice! It took me a minute to figure out who you were and your family picture on the side is so deceiving with your blond hair. Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog!

What a fun Easter! It looks like you guys had such a fun time. I can't blame Caeli for being afraid of that bunny. He is a little scary!

Hahaha That's funny that she was afraid of the easter bunny at the USU one when she wanted to go meet the one that was at your house on Friday.

So cute! It's amazing how much they remember from the scriptures and connect when you talk about it with them. What a smart girl!

And so cute that she asks if the baby is liking the candy! Hahaha!

I was just looking at that first picture again and it looks so odd! Cohen looks like he's being strangled and is about to pull at the guy's hands, the Easter Bunny looks shocked / concerned / surprised (can't see his smile from this angle!), and Caeli looks like she's having second thoughts about standing so close. :-)

You could have a "make a caption for this picture" contest and get some pretty entertaining results! You know, something to entertain while you have to be on bedrest. :-D What do you think?
